These beautiful flour sack tea towels were created from my original watercolor paintings, each one inspired by my love of flowers as well as the ocean full of amazing sea animals.
Flour Sack towels are also a nod to my British upbringing, as my grandmothers always had a flour sack towel draped over their shoulder in the kitchen, cooking up something yummy!
This type of kitchen dish towel is always my “go-to” as it has SO many uses. Drying dishes and glassware without any streaks or lint as the cotton is very absorbent and quick drying. These are beautiful towels! I had received one from my sister-in-law, but I thought it was too pretty for wiping dishes. I made it into a beautiful pillow. I ordered several tea towels and made them into pillows as gifts for my family and they were very well received. They are a good quality fabric with lovely colorful artwork.
I have used flour sack towels in my kitchen for years, but Andrea takes them to a whole new level. So pretty and creative and a nice variety of designs. Her idea of using one as the wrapping for a wine bottle is genius - one that I used this holiday season and every recipeint was thrilled, as am I. I must admit I don't use her towels in the kitchen though - way too pretty! I have framed several of them and they really brighten up my craft room. Keep them coming Andrea!
