Vision Boards + Manifesting your Dreams

Updated: Jan 2, 2021

There's nothing better than kicking off the New Year with a new vision board! It's one of my favorite things to do. I come up with 5-6 big goals, find images to represent them and then visualize these dreams coming true. Easy peasy and fun!

I'm happy to announce I just launched a Free Vision Board class on my teaching site, all you need to do is register and you'll be ready to start your board! There is a 30 minute video, lots of tips + some resources that were very inspiring for me. Plus - I work on my new Vision Board for 2021 in this class!

The purpose of a vision board is to bring everything on it to life.

Manifesting your dreams - what we focus on expands, your thoughts and emotions are so important in visualizing your future. I create boards that represent a feeling or an emotion; balance in life, freedom with my job or feeling financially abundant as well as material things I am desiring. Like a new dog, art studio or certain vacation.

Visualization also magnetizes and attracts to you the people, resources and opportunities to achieve your goal.

Some of my past boards - I love looking back and seeing all the things that came true!

To get started

First, you need an open mind to Dream Big and believe in the Law of Attraction: a belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person's life.

Second, you need to come up a set of dreams and goals! Think about the different areas of your life: relationships, business, finances, travel, personal growth, health, etc

Third, carve out some time and look for images to put on your board.

Then the visualization can begin!

Supplies: canvas board, foam core or poster board, magazines, glue, scissors.

Collecting Images

Flipping through magazines or printing out images from Pinterest or Google search is a great way to begin. I usually have a growing pile and then after a couple hours of looking for images I will then clip out into smaller sizes. Decide what works for my new board, and anything leftover I may save for another one later in the year!

Some Tips on making your board

Choose words or phrases that are short you can read then quickly – that make you feel good

Look for images that make you “feel” a certain way

Keep it Simple.

Leave blank spaces if you want to add later!

Inspirational Resources that I love!

Jack Canfield "Your brain will work tirelessly to achieve the statements you give your subconscious mind. And when those statements are the affirmations and images of your goals, you are destined to achieve them!"

I love his books and The Success Principles has a lot of great insight into manifesting your dreams into reality.

Dr. Wayne Dyer "It is my belief that you are never given the power to dream without the equivalent power to manifest that dream and make it your physical reality."

Dr. Wayne Dyer has written many books on manifesting and the power of vision boards. Wishes Fulfilled is a fantastic book and one of my favorites.

John Assaraf “Whatever you believe about yourself on the inside, is what will manifest on the outside."

John's book, The Answer has a formula that will help people overcome obstacles, transform their careers and businesses and start making the kind of money needed to live extraordinary lives.

Napolean Hill "Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements."

He was one of the first people in the 20th century to set out the ideas behind manifestation and the Law of Attraction, although he didn’t specifically use those terms. His book, Think and Grow Rich, written in the 30's is still among the 10 best selling self-help books of all time!

Some of my boards...

In my Vision Board mini class I dive into the following vision boards and chat about why I have certain images, and what has come true!

Once your board is done

Look at the vision board often - put it somewhere so you can see it!

Visualize it, sending out that energy into the Universe.

See yourself in these goals, visualize your ideal life on a regular basis.

Believe its already yours!

Have lots of gratitude for these future dreams.

Visualize before bed and when you wake up.

"The happiness of your own life depends on the quality of your thoughts" - Marcus Aurelius

I can't wait to hear all about your dreams and goals that will come true! xo Andrea
