Happy New Year! Oh boy, do I LOVE new beginnings. Fresh Start. Clean Slate. Another Chance. I am loaded with energy and excitement about visualizing my new goals and dreams. It's definitely a magical time for me.
And one of my favorite ways to manifest my dreams - is to create a Vision Board!
What's a Vision Board?
A vision board is a collection of pictures, words, and phrases that are designed to inspire you towards a goal and help you to visualize your dreams. These boards are linked to the Law of Attraction: attracting into your life what you are focusing on.
I like to make a board at the start of each year, but sometimes if I know I have a really big project or dream I want to make happen then I will make mini ones throughout the year as well.
I keep all my boards, but if you don't have the room then just take a photo of your board each year so you can look back and reflect upon all your dreams coming true!
You don't need much to get started! A substrate to work on (like a canvas panel or poster board), glue and scissors, and some magazines to cut out.
And if you can't find what you are looking for in a magazine the hop online and search for what you want, print it out on laser paper, and add on to your board!
Look at your vision board often, and picture (feel the emotion) yourself in your goals visualizing your ideal life on a regular basis. By visualizing your dreams daily, you are sending out that energy into the Universe (law of attraction) and letting your subconscious do its thing!
The most important thing about your Vision Board is that you want to put it where you can see it every day. Some people like to put theirs in the bedroom so they go to sleep looking at it, and wake up to it as well.
This year I also decided to have my board in a frame so I could hang up in my art studio among my paintings. I found this great 16x16” frame on Amazon and then cut a piece of poster board to that size. I love how it looks all glossy under the glass!
Think of your vision board as a living thing. You can take things off, add things, or cover over.
Even leave some room on your board if you have new dreams you want to manifest during the year.
Remember that according to the Law of Attraction, what you focus on expands. You’ll be amazed at how things just start showing up in your life once you set the intention for what you want and how you want to feel.
Make sure to give lots of gratitude for these dreams that are coming true and celebrate your victories along the way!
