create + play with me.png

Are you looking for a couple of hours of fun?
To get messy and play with yummy art supplies?
Be part of a community that encourages and inspires one another?

Look no further! Create + Play is not your typical step-by-step zoom class, but more of an experience.

If you like my Facebook or Instagram Lives, you will love these sessions as they are much more interactive.

Each session is on Zoom and recorded (whether you turn on your camera or not!)

The next best thing to being together in person is to be Live online with each other.

The replay recording is now available for this GORGEOUS class on painting ornaments for the holidays. The class includes a Zoom recording, plus an additional video on my recap thoughts, favorite varnish, and a few design elements I chat about.

There is also an ornament photo gallery which is really fun to look at. I will be adding student photos as they come in. So make sure you send me yours!

Art Supplies Needed:

I will be using a variety of acrylic paint brands as well as paint pens in a few different sizes (Posca paint pens are my favorite), there are lots of other brands out there - just make sure they are water-based.

Links to some of the art supplies (I love using plastic ornaments so that they don't break!)

Ornaments - plastic

Acrylic paints

Posca Paint Pens (pastel)

Posca Paint Pens (regular)

Prep before class:

It's best to paint one coat of white before you start the recording.

Tip to prepping: I hold the edges (rim) of the opening (sometimes putting my finger in the hole) while I paint. Then have a place where you can dry the ornaments. You could use the tops of high fluid paint to hold them, or get some foam, poke in some skewers to hold them while they dry.
